Timmonsville- Dewey Ervin Morris, 80, died Sunday morning July 17, 2016 in the McLeod Hospice House.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Sparrow Swamp Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church before the service. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Morris was born in Florence County, the son of the late Jule W. and Bessie Anderson Morris. He was a member of Sparrow Swamp Baptist Church. Dewey was a graduate of Timmonsville High School class of 1953 and attended Clemson University before joining the Army Reserve. Dewey most recently worked at Lowe's of Florence.

Surviving are; his wife of 55 years, Ernestine Roberts Morris of Timmonsville; sister-in-law, Violet Morris, many nephews, nieces, cousins and his faithful four legged companion, Bella.
