Dennis Wasko - 81, passed away in a local hospital on Tuesday, August 20, 2024.

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens.  The family will have a time of visitation Friday, August 23, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

Mr. Wasko was born in Butler, Pa, the son of the late Lou and Audrey Pennington Wasko. He was an Engineer,  retiring from General Electric and ESAB in Florence, SC.  He enjoyed NASCAR, and playing Solitaire.  His family was an important part of his life.

Surviving are his wife, Darlene Floyd Wasko; son, Scott (Jennifer) Wasko; Daughters, Leslie (Steve) Minnick, Susan (Kevin) Smith, Dee (Ethan Smith) Hansford, Angel (Mark) Benenhaley and Brandon Hansford; brothers, Rick (Carol) Wasko, Terry (Mina) Wasko, Brian (Kim) Wasko; sister, Debbie Wasko-Hagler; and his grandchildren, Hunter, Sabrien, Riley, Aiden, Hannah, Trey, Jacob, Darby and Nicholas.  He is preceded in death by a sister, Lisa Wasko.
