Florence, SC – Dennis Dean Parnell, 56, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2019.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Bay Branch Free Will Baptist Church.  Visitation will Monday, May 20, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.

Dennis was born in Florence County, the son of the late Oscar and Evelyn Carter Parnell. He was a member of Peniel Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife of 20 years, Bambi Austin Parnell; step-son, Bruce Oliver, step-daughters, Nichole (Rodney) Weatherholtz, Casondra (Mike) Adamson; brother, Jimmy Parnell; sister, Patricia Atkinson;  grandchildren, Emily Martinez, Sophia Weatherholtz, Dawson Adamson, Tatum (Kyle) Leistner;  great-grandchild, Ezra; nieces and nephews, Kelli, Michelle, Cliff, Ryan, Chad and "Tut".

He is preceded in death by a brother, Delmas Parnell and sister, Barbara Jean Howell.
