Debra Duke Cook, 41, went to her heavenly home on Monday afternoon, April 15, 2024.

Funeral services will be Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.  Debra will be laid to rest at Florence Memorial Gardens following the service.  The family will have a time of visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home before the service.

Debra was born in Florence, and then moved to East Texas when she was two years old. She graduated from Grapeland High School and attended Trinity Valley Community College in Palestine, TX. Debra returned to South Carolina in 2007.  She worked in the banking industry in various roles for eighteen years.  She enjoyed her position as an Accounts Receivable Clerk at the Carolina Supply House before her illness.

She was a beautiful daughter, wife and mother who loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She will be greatly missed. She is the daughter of Deborah Jean West Duke and the late Herbert Arnold Duke.

Surviving are her husband, Michael B. Cook, Sr.; son, Michael B. Cook, Jr; daughter, Debra Nicole Cook; mother, Deborah Jean West Duke; brother, Arnie (Amy) Duke; her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
