David Larry Pierce, 81, of Timmonsville went peacefully to his heavenly home on March 14, 2026.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 17 at 4 pm at Sparrow Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery in Timmonsville.

Born in Florence county, he was the son of the late John & Effie Pierce.

He graduated from Timmonsville High School and then FDTC. After graduating, he spent many years working as a machinist and supervisor for Union Carbide/ESAB.

He is predeceased by his parents; his sister, Letider "Tida" Wise; and brothers, Dickie Pierce and Don Pierce.

David is survived by his children, Ricky (Gay) Pierce of Timmonsville, Tracey (Wes) Helms of Florence; grandchildren, Katie (Ryan) Morrell of Timmonsville and McKenzie Pierce of Timmonsville; great grandchildren, Banks and Brynlee Kate Morrell of Timmonsville; and his loyal dog, Willie.

He lived his life on the family farm in Timmonsville. He loved being outdoors, fishing, hunting, playing his guitar, and singing.

His legacy and life lessons will continue on through his family.
