Timmonsville, SC - David Laverne Morris, 60, passed away suddenly on July 31, 2018.

Funeral services will be Friday, Aug. 3, 2018 at 12:00 at Jireth Penticostal Church, Timmonsville. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the National Cemetery in Florence. A time of visitation will begin at 11:00 prior to the 12:00 service.

Mr. Morris was born in Florence County, the son of the late Laverne and Helen Miles Morris. He was retired from the US ARMY. He served as a Drill Sergeant and also a Command Sergeant. David served on the Timmonsville School Board, was a substitute Teacher. He worked with the DMV as a driving instructor.

Surviving are his wife of thirty-five years, Maxine Hearon Morris; two sons, Zacahues D. Morris, Ezekiel E. Morris, both of Timmonsville; three brothers, John W. (Corrie) Morris, Edward (Ruby) Morris, Micheal (Gloria) Morris; three sisters,Helen Morris,Vernita (Jerry) Oakes,Precious (Kelvin) Wymbs; two granddaughters and many nieces and nephews.
