Timmonsville - David K. Lewallen, 60, died at his residence on August 1, 2015.

A memorial service will be Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home. The family will speak to everyone attending, after the service until 7:30 p.m.

David was born in Florence County, the son of Betty Harrellson Lewallen and the late Worth M. Lewallen, Jr. He was a life member of Timmonsville United Methodist Church. He graduated from Roy Hudgens Academy, Lynchburg, SC. After graduation he attended Spartanburg Methodist College and Francis Marion University. David played baseball for both schools.

Surviving are his mother of Timmonsville; two brothers, Jim (Beth) Lewallen, Mark (Monica) Lewallen all of Florence; a sister, Jean L. (John) Miles, Monroe, NC and a number of nieces and nephews.
