Dat Truong, 80, passed away in Charleston, SC on Jan. 4, 2025.

Funeral services will be Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 12:00 in the chapel at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.  The family will have a gathering time beginning at 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 before the service at the funeral home also on Thursday.

Mr. Truong was born in Vietnam, the son of the late Ching Truong and Xem Bui. He was a worker in the Jacks Cookie Factory before retiring.

Surviving are his wife Kim Cao Truong; two sons, Alex Truong, Kevin Truong and seven grand-children, Richard Truong, Savannah Truong,  Bridgett Truong, Angelina Truong, Tyler Truong, Annie Truong, Catherine Truong.

He is preceded in death by a son, Dung Truong who passed away in 2020.
