Timmonsville, SC – Kathy Darlene Williams Gainey,58, died at her residence Wednesday, June 21, 2017.

Funeral service will be Saturday June 24, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home, Florence. Entombment will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday evening at the Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Darlene was born in Ft. Bragg, NC, the daughter of the late Charles Edward and Shirley Hall Williams. She was a waitress at George's Restaurant in Timmonsville for nine years.

She was married to the late Steve Allen Gainey.

Surviving are her children of Timmonsville, Chris (Nikki Boaz) Gainey, Matt Gainey, Heather (Brent Wright) Gainey; a sister, Ramona Hickman, Florence; grandchildren, Emily, Ella, Nicholas, Stevie, Shane and Mason Gainey, Allie Wright; mother-in-law, Learleen Gainey, special-in-laws, Wayne (Jackie) Gainey, James (Barbara) Gainey, Sharon (Jeff) Ard, Denise (George) Gaddy, Margie (John) Davis, Penny (Jim) Tallon and many nieces and nephews.
