Catherine "Darleen" Batson Jeffords, 74, departed this earthly life on Tuesday morning October 22, 2024 and opened  her eyes in a new heavenly home.

A graveside service will be Thursday, October 24, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. at Pine Grove Cemetery in Timmonsville.  The family will have a time of visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at  Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jeffords was born in Travelers Rest, South Carolina, the daughter of the late Claude and Mary Biggs Batson. Darleen attended West Florence Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are; her husband of 50 years, John Jeffords; son, John Jeffords, III and his wife, Amanda; daughter, Mercedes Sears and her husband, Joshua; brother, Dennis (Deborah) Batson; two sisters, Bobbie (Claude) Belcher and Elaine Barney; and her grandchildren, Tristan Baker, Everett Sears, Jacob Jeffords, Bryleigh Jeffords, Braden Jeffords and Braddox Jeffords.
