Florence- Danny Ray Shirley, 60, died Tuesday, April 28, 2015 in a local hospital after an illness.

Funeral services will be Friday, May 1, 2015 at 2:00 in the Mausoleum of Florence Memorial Gardens. Interment will follow in the cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, April 30, 2015 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.

Mr. Shirley was born in Seneca, SC, the son of Minnie Hatcher and the late Harold J. Shirley. He did residential and commercial construction.

Surviving are his three children, Brian A. Shirley, Shannon Shirley and Emmy Shirley; three brothers, Ken, Mike and Tim Shirley; a sister, Faye Christmas, two grandchildren, Camden Shirley and Bailee Acebal; step children, Cody Acebal and Kimberlee Acebal; and his companion Charlotte Acebal.
