Timmonsville, SC – Danny Lee Ray, 56, passed away suddenly on Saturday July 15, 2023.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Lake Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will have a time of visitation beginning at 12:00 at the funeral home.

Danny was born in Florence County, the son of James Lee Ray, Sr, and the late Bobbie Jean Mixon Ray.  He was a long distance Truck Driver.

Surviving are; his wife,Mary Harrington Ray; sons, Stephen Thomas, Danny Ray,Jr. and wife, Meagan, Matthew Ray and wife, Savanna, Cody Harrington and his wife, Bri ; daughter, Rebecca Ray and her husband, Cameron; two brothers, Edward Allen (Angela) Ray, James Lee (Helen) Ray; sister, Wanda Ray Sings; and his seven grandchildren, Stephen, Jasmine, Isaac, J.J., Jeffrey, Aleeah and Nolan; grandmother, Conetha Rogers, aunts, uncles and cousins; extended family, Josh Hanna, Drake Smith, Seth Hick and Bob Dove.
