Mr. Danny Lee Haithcock, 80, entered into rest on Friday, November 28, 2025. Born in Florence County, SC, he was a son of the late Delton Leary Haithcock and the late Elouise Jackson Sauls.

Danny served in the United States Marine Corps and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was fireman with the City of Florence for over 30 years and was a member of Unity Christian Fellowship Church. Danny enjoyed farming, hunting and fishing in bass tournaments. He will be missed dearly.

Surviving are his son, Danny Lee Haithcock, II (Melinda), stepchildren, Ronald Powell (Jerri), Mitchell Powell (Krystina), Robin Powell, Denise Powell; brother, Judson Sauls (Michelle); sisters, Linda Jarzabek, Debbie Rabjohn (Michael); special brothers-in-law, Wendell McDowell, Simpere Broach, Jr.; 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Iris B. Haithcock; sons, Ricky Lee Haithcock, Victor B. Haithcock; brother, Jerry Haithcock; sister, Faye McDowell.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 1, 2025, in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home with the Rev. Lloyd Ackerman officiating. The family will recieve friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A private burial with military honors will be held in Florence National Cemetery.
