It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Daniel Patrick Martin, 64, a gentle soul whose enduring spirit touched many lives.

Danny was born at St Eugene Hospital in Dillon, SC on July 25, 1961, to Herbert V. Martin, Sr and Mae Boatwright Martin. Danny was a devout Christian and spent hours studying scripture and shared his faith at every opportunity.

Left to cherish his memory are his brother, Vernon Martin (Judy) of Lugoff; brother-in-Law, Charles McLaurin of West Virginia; numerous nephews and nieces. He is also survived by his best friend, Angela Russ; her children, Christon (Dustin) Jeffords, Johnathon (Leila) Russ; her grandchildren, Audrey, Bryson, Sarah and McKinleigh Jeffords and Phoebe and Delainey Russ.

He was predeceased by his parents, Herbert and Mae Martin and his beloved sister, Linda McLaurin.

The family will hold a memorial service to honor his life at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 6, 2026, at New Hope Baptist Church, 2016 New Hope Dr., Florence, SC 29501.
