Timmonsville, SC.–Arlo Dale Jensen,86,died at his residence on Saturday morning January 23, 2016.

A funeral service will be Monday, January 25, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Sparrow Swamp Baptist Church, Timmonsville, with Interment following in the church cemetery. The family will have a time of visitation after the service.

Mr. Jensen was born in West Branch,Iowa,the son of the late Martin Luther and Johanna Sondegard Jensen. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Dale was a member of Sparrow Swamp Baptist Church. Before his retirement he was a Freight Agent with CSX Railroad. He took a job with the railroad in Plant City, Florida, then the railroad brought him to Florence where he met and married his wife of 60 years.

Surviving are; his wife, Mary Alexander Jensen,Timmonsville; a daughter, Karen (Wayne)Kirby, Suwanee, Georgia, a son, Michael (Teressa) Jensen, Rock Hill, SC; a brother, Johnny (Carol) Jensen, Plant City, Florida, sister, Ellany Johnson, Dover, Florida and his loving grandchildren; Elizabeth (Dustin) White, Jeff Kirby, Daniel Jensen, Joseph Jensen and one great-grandchild, Liam White. He is preceded in death by a grandson, Joel Kirby.
