Timmonsville, SC – Curtis M. Weatherford, 84, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2019.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at High Hill Baptist Church, Darlington, SC.  Burial will follow at Byrd Cemetery in Timmonsville. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.

Mr. Weatherford was born in Florence County, the son of the late William Henry, Sr. and Mamie Eva Kersey Weatherford.  He served and was retired from the US Air Force with 21 years of service.  Before retiring, he work with Clanton's Auto Sales of Darlington in  Security Management.

Surviving are his wife of 29 years, Betty Compton Weatherford; two daughters, Mary Ann McBride, Celeste Swindel; son, Donald C. (Niki) Weatherford; sister, Mary Langley and seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by five brothers, William, Gordon, Charles, Frank and Howard, and a daughter, Christy Mitchell.
