Timmonsville, SC. - Curtis Evans, 79, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 26, 2017 with his family at his side. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Layton-Anderson Funeral Home Chapel. A time of visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Byrd Cemetery in Timmonsville. Curtis was born in Timmonsville, the son the late George Curtis and Ruby Dorriety Evans. He was a member of Timmonsville First Baptist Church. Curtis was a farmer of agricultural products. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Annette Tolson Evans; two sons, Curtis "Ricky" (Linda) Evans, Florence, Randy Elvin (Son) Evans, Myrtle Beach; a daughter, Faith Evans (David) Powell, Timmonsville; one brother, James Elvin (Alvida) Evans; five sisters, Virginia Harrell, Sybil Bass, Mary Carter, LaRue (Terry) Anderson, Hazel Watford and three grandchildren, Jacob Powell, Noah Powell and Rachel Evans.
