Florence, SC – Constance "Connie" Jeffords Gertie, 61, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2017 in a local hospital.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Byrd Cemetery, Timmonsville.

The family will receive family and friends at the funeral home, Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Connie was born in Miami, Florida, the daughter of Marion Jeffords, Jr. and the late Deloris Ann Jeffords. She was a certified surgical tech in the Women's Center at Carolinas Hospital.

Surviving are her husband of twenty-nine years, Larry Gertie; three daughters, Charity (Sammy) Godwin, Pamela (Eddie) Elmore, Tracy Peebles; a son, Chris Gertie ; two brothers, Marion (Sammie) Jeffords,III, George (Jackie) Jeffords; a sister, Arlene (Stephen) Batchelor and twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Layton-Anderson Funeral Home, 4210 W. Palmetto Street, Florence is assisting the Family with arrangements.
