Obituary

Mr. Clyde Turner, 82, entered into rest on Monday, January 12, 2026. He was born in Horry County, SC to the late Ernest and Winnie Holt Turner.

Clyde retired from DuPont after many years of faithful and dedicated service. He was a member of Liberty Chapel Church. He was a former member of Southside Baptist Church, and Tans Bay Baptist Church.  He taught the senior women's Sunday School class for more than 20 years. He enjoyed working outdoors and was always ready to help anyone in need. He found great joy in serving others and was devoted to serving the Lord throughout his life.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the caring staff of McLeod Hospice House, as well as to Clyde's DuPont buddies for their kindness, support, and friendship.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Judy Quick Turner of Florence, SC; son, Donald Turner (Lori) of Colchester, VT; daughter, Joan Turner (Karen Willis) of Florence, SC; stepson, Christopher Nobles (Christa) of Ridley Park, PA; sisters, Mary Dawsey (Sheldon) of Aynor, SC, Winnie Ruth Hardwick of Mullins, SC; grandchildren, Tessa Nobles, Max Woods, Mason Woods, Charlotte Woods.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Walter Turner, Wilbur Turner; sister, Kathleen Campbell.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Liberty Chapel Church Scholarship Fund, 7432 E National Cemetery Rd, Florence, SC 29506 or to the Alzheimer's Association https://donorservices.alz.org/.

A family led service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 17, 2026, in Liberty Chapel Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
