Florence, SC - Clifford Nelson Grove, 86, passed away in a local hospital on Nov. 26, 2018.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens.  The family will speak to friends and visitors beginning at 1:00 p.m. before the service.

Mr. Grove was born in Martinsburg, W.VA, the son of the late Nelson Hines and Pauline Byers Grove.  He served his country in the US AIR FORCE during the the Korean Conflict and Viet Nam.  He was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church, Florence and Calvary Methodist Church, Martinsburg, WV.  Clifford was a member of Amity Masonic Lodge #340.

He was married to the late Lerena Jordan Grove.

Surviving are a son,  Randall N. (Tracy) Grove, Timmonsville; daughter, Debbie Whittington, Florence; a sister, Carrie (Doug) Copenhaver, Martinsburg, W. VA; five grandchildren, Amanda, Jordan, Owen, Randy and Joshua; and three great-grandchildren, Ivan, Bryan and Caden. Clifford is preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Ann Grove,  brother, Paul Grove and sister, Amelia Wasson.
