Mr. Cleveland Craig Stokes, 58, entered into rest on Thursday, January 8, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Craig was born on August 6, 1967, to the late Cleveland "Cleve" Stokes, Jr. and the late Bennie Lee Prosser Stokes. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and listening to country music. Craig also loved working in his yard and cutting the grass. He took pride in keeping them clean.

He is survived by his companion, Pamela Privette; daughter, Chely Stokes; stepsons, Michael Privette (Samantha), Anthony Privette; sisters, Gloria Rollins (Brad), Dawn Stokes (Timothy Miller); nephews, Wayne Privette (Cristy), Chris Privette, Stacy Privette, Scott Rollins (Stephanie); niece, Alayna Miller; special great nephew that he loved dearly, Trace Privette.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Delores Jean Stokes, Wanda Sue Sims, and Lisa Stokes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his honor at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.

The family would like to express special gratitude to Desiree "Strawberry" Tidwell for her loving care.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 11, 2026, in Lamar Cemetery.
