Florence, SC – Clarendon Leroy Graham, 87 , died at the McLeod Hospice House Sunday, March 20, 2016 after an illness.

A graveside service will be Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Indiantown Presbyterian Cemetery in Williamsburg County. Visitation will be Tuesday evening March 22, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home, Florence.

Mr. Graham was born in Cades, South Carolina, the son of the late Linwood Leroy and Hattie Belle Snowden Graham. He served his country in the US Army, in the Medical Corps, in Germany. Clarendon graduated from the University of Houston with a BS-ME degree in Engineering. After 34 years of service as a Senior Consulting Engineer, he retired from Centerpoint Energy, formerly Houston Lighting and Power. Mr. Graham was a member of Central United Methodist Church, Florence. He served as Elder in Presbyterian Churches while living in Texas and Florence. He was a member of the Park Place Masonic Lodge in Houston, Texas.

Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Kathleen Bartell Graham, Florence; a daughter, Carol G. (David) Nicholson, Ft. Lauderdale, FL; a brother, Thurman L. Graham, Scranton, SC; grandson, Bryan Graham Nicholson, Orlando, FL. He is preceded in death by a daughter Pamela G. Chandler, grandchild, Cori Elaine Nicholson and two brothers, John J. and Clifford H. Graham.
