Darlington, SC – Clara Jean Anderson, 76, died on Nov. 21, 2017 at McLeod Hospice House in Florence.

A funeral service will be Friday, Nov. 24, 2017 at 11:00 at the First Church of God, Darlington. A time of visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Anderson was born in Darlington, SC, the daughter of the late Frank Stokes and Clara Louise Parnell Kinsey. She was the owner of a Day Care service for many years.

Surviving are her husband of 59 years, John Edwin Anderson; a son, Ronnie (Carla) Anderson,Darlington; two daughters, Kim A. Weaver, Amy (Jack) Dearhart all of Darlington; two sisters, Mildred Rogers, Camden, Frankie Godwin, Darlington, her grandchildren, Chelsi Anderson, Brittni Anderson, Abby Weaver, Sarah Weaver, Jack Dearhart, Carter Dearhart and her great-grandchild, Charlotte Grace Touchberry. She is preceded in death by three sisters, Virginia Pate, Betty White and Edna Mae Hill.
