Florence, SC -  Charles Van Hartsell, Jr., 69, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2020.

A Private Service will be Monday April 20, 2020 at Florence Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Hartsell was born in Fayetteville, NC, the son of the late Charles Van Sr. and Ruth Ivey Hartsell.  He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.  Charles was an Independent Insurance Agent before retiring.  He was a big music fan, especially guitar music, he enjoyed studying history, loved his dogs and other animals.  He enjoyed traveling to the mountains.

Surviving are his wife of seventeen (17) years, Donna Henderson Hartsell; his son, Charles "Van" Hartsell, III and wife Jillian and step-son, Grant Rainwater and his wife, Danielle; guys that he loved like brothers, Johnny Raynor, Mic Raynor, Frank Price; granddaughter, Samantha Hartsell, step-grands, Keeley and Keston Rainwater, two great-grands, Genesis and Symphony McKenzie; and his special canine companion, C.C.
