Pamplico, SC – Charles F. Cox, 84, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017 in a Florence Hospital.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Pamplico United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Prosser Cemetery near Pamplico, SC. The family will have a time of visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. before the service at the church on Saturday.

Mr. Cox was born in Florence County, the son of the late Chess and Mattie Hanna Cox. He was employed with the DuPont Company until his retirement. Charles was a member of Pamplico United Methodist Church. He loved his church and working on the church grounds, fishing and traveling.

Surviving are his wife of sixty-six years, Barbara Poston Cox; a daughter, Becki (Steve) McKnight; a sister, Bonnie (Ronald) Cox, Johnsonville; four grandchildren and twelve great- grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Lynn McKnight and two sisters, Renetta Godwin and Ann Lyerly.
