Florence- Carolyn Poston Nichols, 82, died Thursday, January 19, 2017.

Funeral services will be Monday, January 23, 2017, at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the National Cemetery in Florence. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, January 22, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

Carolyn was born in the Hannah Community of Florence County, the daughter of the late Lawrence William and Hattie Kennedy Poston.

She was the wife of the late Richard Paul Nichols.

Survivors are two sons, Mike Nichols, Mitchell Nichols; two daughters, Lynn (Tommy) Rotan, Lisa (Brian) Kennedy, all of Florence; she was the grandmother to ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.
