Mr. Carl Lucian Poston, Jr., 92, entered into rest on Monday, November 17, 2025. Born in Florence County, SC, he was a son of the late Carl L. Poston, Sr. and the late Jessie Mae Haynes Poston.
Carl attended the University of South Carolina. He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was recognized as the last American soldier to leave Korea. He was an avid reader and was the author of three books. Carl was very wise and left a lasting impact on many people. He will be dearly missed.
Surviving are his son, Carl L. Poston, III (Debbie); daughters, Donna Hendrick (David), Janet Poston; grandchildren, James David Hendrick, Jr. (Cynthia), Carl L.
