Timmonsville, SC – Candace Renee Young, 63, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, on Monday, Sept. 25, 2023.

A Memorial service for family and friends will be Friday, Sept. 29, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Florence.  The family will speak to those attending after the service.

Candace was born in Texas, the daughter of Retha Carroso and the late Jackie W. Pendley. Growing up in Texas, she loved riding motorcycles, singing Karaoke, was an avid bowler and won trophies for playing pool.  In her later years she enjoyed quieter activities.  She loved watching movies and shows related to animals and nature. Candace loved spending time with family.   She attended NewSpring Church when her health allowed.

Surviving are her husband of 12 years, Joe Tyler Young; son, Jesse (Fenice)  Ramirez; daughter, Jacquelyn (Robert) Adame; step-daughter, Faith Young;  brothers, Johnny Pendley, D.J. Valentine; sisters, Theresa (Kurt) Sagun, Phyllis (Albert) Gatica; her mother, Retha Carroso; stepmother, Patricia Pendley; Mother and father-in-law Cynthia and Joe Young; sister-in-law, Tara (John) Marcella; grandchildren, Mario Garza, Michael Garza, Jessali Ramirez, Jessaya Ramirez; nephews, Paul, Joey and Allan Marcella.  She is preceded in death by her youngest son, Jason Ramirez and a brother, Wayne Pendley.
