Timmonsville, SC – Clifford Damon "Pops" Kight, 63, passed away Wednesday, Jan 3, 2018 after an illness.

A funeral service will be Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home. The family will speak to those attending the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Damon or "Pops" as he was lovingly called was born in Florence County, the son of the late Dalton and Ila Thompson Kight. Damon was a Maintenance Supervisor with the City of Hartsville. "Pops" was a member of Timmonsville First Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife Brenda Murphy Kight, Timmonsville; a son, Damon (Heather) Kight;a daughter, Stephanie Kight; a brother, Jimmy (Robin) Nelson; a sister, Nettie (Jack) Austin and his grandson, Zakery Kight. He is preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Nelson and a sister, Gail Kight Lowe.
