On November 11,2025 Brenda Folsom Dennis of Timmonsville South Carolina, a loving wife, mother and nana, peacefully passed away at the age of 75.

Born in Florence, SC Brenda was the daughter of the late Joseph Bernard Folsom and the late Mamie Jernigan Folsom. She was a member of First Free Will Baptist church. She enjoyed playing and teaching piano for many years. Brenda spent most of her career as an office manager working at Oxford Drapery in Timmonsville. Instead of retiring she started her own business, Maibesew, where she would design and manufacture home textiles. In recent years she found her joy in her role as a care giver for many families and community members.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, William Jeff Dennis (Kristen), Jamie Brendan Dennis, Brianna Dennis (Jeremy Lewis); grandchildren whom were the light of her life, Taquan Holmes, Victor Zhang, Kevin Zhang, Carly Dennis, Luke Seney, Liam Seney, Sadie Dennis and Emersyn Dennis; sister, Carol Folsom Hickson (Pete). Along with nieces, nephews, and many friends she loved so much.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Henry Dennis; sister, Vermelle Folsom Strickland.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 14, 2025, Layton-Anderson Funeral home. A funeral service to honor her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2025, in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home. The Rev. Lee Patrick will officiate with burial to follow in Bay Branch Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
