Timmonsville, SC. – Brenda Joyce Brown Thompson, 82, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 in a local hospital.

Graveside services will be Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Byrd Cemetery in Timmonsville, SC.  The family will speak to those attending after the service.

Brenda was born in Hartsville, SC, the daughter of the late Rochelle and Alma Johnson Brown.  She worked in a variety of shops and stores during her career before retiring. She was a member of Faith Covenant Church.

Brenda was married to the late Samuel J. Thompson.

Surviving are; a son, Jay Michael Thompson; daughter, Cynthia Parrott ; granddaughter, Caroline Parrott and great-grandson, Gabriel Treager; and a niece, Pamela Grantham. She is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Crystal Parrott.
