Boyd Elnathan McKay, 71, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2019.

Funeral services will be Tuesday April 23, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.  Burial will follow Elim Baptist Church Cemetery.   The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Funeral Home.

Mr. McKay was born in Florence County, the son of the late James Ivy McKay, Sr. and Laura Cassidy McKay.  He was a Mason and he was the owner of McKay's Repairs HVAC and Appliance Company for 48 years.

He was first married to the late Alma Lee McKay and then to the late Celetta Brantley McKay.

Surviving are two daughters, Lelia Denise McKay (Scott Rabon), and Laura Lee Evans, his brother Terry Douglas McKay (Rosemary), and two grandchildren, Branda Bunting and Christa Evans.

He was preceded in death by a son, Boyd Elnathan McKay, II, and a brother James Ivy McKay, Jr.
