Robert Lee Clemson, 80,passed away on Saturday April 22,2023.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson funeral Home.  The family will receive guest immediately after the service.  A private burial will take place in Princeton, West Virginia on Thursday.

Bob was born in Princeton, West Virginia.  He worked in manufacturing as a mechanical engineer for various companies with Wellman Industries bringing him to South Carolina.  He spent the latter part of his career in building construction as a general contractor for various industrial companies and formed his own construction company from which he retired.  As a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, he loved to share his construction experience by working on various projects for the church and community.  He was happiest sitting by his pool watching his grandchildren swim or  in his shop working on a project.

Survivors are his wife of 57 years, Patricia Kay Hawkins Clemson; three sons, Robert (Amanda) Clemson, Gregory (Crystal) Clemson, David (Karen) Clemson; and six grandchildren, Caroline Cameron, Thomas, Courtney, Jack and Charlie.

Memorials may be made to Ebenezer Baptist Church, 524 S. Ebenezer Road, Florence, SC  29501.
