Effingham, SC – Billy Carl Tedder, 89, passed away Dec. 25, 2022 .

Funeral services will be Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.  The family will have a time of visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. before the service. Burial will be private at a later time.

Mr. Tedder was born in Darlington County, the son of the late Cole and Margaret Howell Tedder.  He loved spending time outdoors, gardening and sharing vegetables that he grew,  with family and friends.  He was a farmer during his working years.

Surviving are a son, Baron E. Tedder; daughter, Deborah Jane Warr; four grandchildren and his granddaughter, Whitney Stephens that cared for him in his last days; and a number of great-grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by a son, Ben Tedder.
