Betty was born in Marion, SC, the daughter of the late Foster and Geneva Chapman Boatwright.  She was a member of Peace Free Will Baptist Church of Florence.  Betty retired from Blue Cross-Blue Shield as the Project Assistant.

She was married to the late Charles Jeffords.

Surviving are her daughter, Geneva Leigh (Larry) Rabon; grandchildren, Lauren Richbourg, James Bartol, Blake Bartol and her great-grandchildren,Geneva Leigh Richbourg, Christian Bartol, Madison and Kenzie Bartol.  Betty leaves behind her "Best buddy" and canine companion, "CJ".  She is preceded in death by her son, Billy Jeffords and three brothers, Grady, Bennie and Edward Boatwright.
