Betty Campbell David, 81, entered into rest on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. Born in Florence County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Melvin Reese Campbell, Sr. and the late Alberta Amerson Campbell.

Betty graduated from Betty Stevens Cosmetology Institute and was a cosmetologist for many years. She loved to spend time outside gardening and had received a certificate in horticulture. She also loved to paint and could draw anything. Yellow was her favorite color. She enjoyed spending time with her family and going to the beach.

Left to cherish her memory are; her daughters, Elizabeth Langley, Casea Love (Derrick), Rebecca White and Wendy Lynch; brother, Donald Reece Campbell (Stephanie); sister-in-law, Brenda Campbell; grandchildren, Greycen, Malee, Tyler and Jordy (Ashley); great-grandchildren, Cole and Hayes; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James Marion Lynch, II; brothers, Melvin Campbell, Jr. and Harvey Campbell; sisters, Geraldine Player and Mary Alice Richardson.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Sunday, November 23, 2025, in the Saint Paul Cemetery with the Rev. Jeff Cockrell officiating. The family will receive friends from 5pm until 7pm on Saturday at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.
