Betty Anne Cooke Ard, 82, passed away on Monday, Sept. 29, 2025 after and illness.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025 at 12:00 noon in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.     Burial will follow at Woodside Cemetery in Pamplico.  Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.

Betty was born in Florence County, the daughter of the late Charlie Bleauford and Pearl Odessia Hanna Cooke.  She was member of Palmetto Street Church of God.

Betty enjoyed reading her Bible, and working Christian puzzles.  Reading was a favorite pass time. She loved her children and grandchildren.  If you saw Betty at Walmart you knew she was in one of her places.

Surviving are her children, Michael (Cheryl) Harrell; daughter, Teresa Moody; brother, Randy Cook; grandchildren, Timothy (Jennifer), Kayla (Eric), Randon (Megan).
