Florence, SC – Garris Barnette McKenzie, 76, passed away on Monday evening February 7, 2022.

Graveside services will be Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Florence Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home from 12:30 p.m.to 1:30 p.m.

Mr. McKenzie was born in Florence County, the son of Burnette Springs McKenzie and the late Garris McKenzie.  He was a General Building Contractor until he retired.  He was a member of the National Guard.  Barnette was a member of Grace Baptist Church.

He was married to the late Gail McKenzie, who passed away in December of 2021.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, John and Lesia McKenzie; two brothers, Thomas (Kathy) McKenzie and Bobby Wayne McKenzie; sister, Phyllis (Frank) Schaffer and his grandchildren, Tyler Hodge and Jessica McKenzie (Justin) Scott.
