Florence- Barbara Lanier Anderson, 70, peacefully entered into the arms of Jesus with her daughter at her bedside on July 23, 2015.

A graveside service will be Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Florence Memorial Gardens. The family will speak to family and friends after the service at the cemetery.

Barbara was born in Duplin County, NC, the daughter of the late Mourie and Flossie Lanier. She dedicated her life of service as a nurse at Florence General Hospital for 20 years before moving to Georgia and NC. She loved and enjoyed family and being with her daughter and grandchildren, and spent her "golden years" at Surf City, NC surrounded by a community of friends who were very special to her.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ellington Anderson ("Andy") and two siblings, Rex Lanier and Edwin Lanier.

Barbara is survived by her daughter,Sherry( Kevin) Nordine of Florence; three grandsons, Drakeford (Lucy-Jayne) Lanier, Chattanooga,TN, Reed Johnston and Lane Nordine, Florence; a sister, Eloise (Francis) Clifton, of Faison, NC; a special friend, Pattie Woodson; a host of nieces, cousins,other relatives and friends,and a faithful canine companion, ShortStop.
