Florence- Arthur Griffin Best, 69, died at his residence Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014.

A Funeral service will beTuesday, Dec. 16, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at Byrd Cemetery,Timmonsville.Visitation will be today(Monday) from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

Mr. Best was born in Rocky Mount, NC,the son of the late Iredell Griffin and Lillie Mae Shearin Best. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Arthur served his country during the Vietnam era inthe US Army. He was employed as a salesman for a Fuel Oil Equipment Company before retiring.

Surviving are his wife ofFlorence, Sonya Gaddy Best; a daughter, Elizabeth O'Dell and her husband, Jason of Florence; two sisters, Shirley Pendergrass, Murrells Inlet and Susan Dailey, Cassett, SC.; twograndchildren, Benjamin and Caroline O'Dell.
