James "Archie" Greene, 59, passed away on Saturday August 23, 2025 from injuries sustained in an accident.

A memorial service will be Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Sardis Baptist Church. The family will have a time of visitation following the service at the church.

Archie was  born in Florence County, the son of Janice McGee Greene and the late James Fanell Greene.  He worked for Sumter Builders as a Foreman. When he wasn't working, you could find Archie training and raising hunting dogs.  He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.  A fun and favorite pass time was shooting pool or riding on dirt roads and listening to country singer, George Jones. Spending time with family and friends was dear to his heart.

Surviving is his wife, Kimberly Yarborough; daughter, Janice Casey (Vince) Tedder, son, James Corey (Danielle) Greene; sister, Melinda (Danny) Haithcock; step-daughters, Ashley (Phillip) Hamilton and Logan (B.J.) Sims; grandchildren, Dalton Tedder, Kinzlee Tedder, Savannah Greene, Jacob Greene, Charlie Hamilton, Jackson Hamilton, Hoffman, Hollis and Harvey Sims; nephews, Josh (Maggie) Haithcock, Zack Haithcock, Christian Haithcock; great niece, Emma Haithcock, great nephews, Jeb Haithcock and James Wyatt Haithcock; mother-in-law, Jackie Yarborough; and Joey McGee, a special cousin that is like a brother.
