Annie Ruth Lee Ward, 90, was surrounded by her loving family on Saturday evening Dec. 9, 2023 and slipped away peacefully  into the arms of her Lord and Savior.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Bay Branch Free Will Baptist  Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive family and friends, beginning at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.

Annie Ruth was born in Florence County, the daughter of the late Cullie and Elma Ruth Lee.  She was a member of Bay Branch Free Will Baptist Church.   She retired from Oxford Drapery Mfg. with 25 years of service as a Supervisor.  Annie Ruth was a sweet loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She was married to the late James Arnold Ward.

Surviving are two sons, James Mitchell "Mickey" (Barbara) Ward, Michael Ray "Mike" (Janice) Ward; two daughters, Laura "Daphene" Parnell, Brenda Ann (Phil) Reynolds; brother, Sherwood (Vada) Lee; sister, Rachel Mays; 10 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by a sister, Betty Bass, brothers, Gordon Lee, Ronnie Joe Lee and her son-in-law, Delmas Parnell.
