Timmonsville- Annie Clara Mincey Fogle Carraway, at age 100, peacefully passed away on Friday, June 9, 2017.

A funeral service will be Monday June 12, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Nichols, SC. The family will have a time of visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. before the service at the funeral home,

Ms. Clara was born in Nichols, SC, the daughter of the late John Quincy and Nancy Adeline Hooks Mincey. She was a member of Cartersville Baptist Church. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Timmonsville for many years.

She was first married to the late Emory H. Fogle and then to John B. Carraway.

Surviving are four sons, Joe C. (JoAnn) Fogle, Spartanburg, Wayne (Karon) Fogle, Murrells Inlet, Emory Horace, Jr. (Linda) Fogle, Lamar, John Q. (Melinda) Fogle, Murphy, NC; two daughters, Shirley Anne Absher, Timmonsville, Patsy Chandler, Sumter, SC; fourteen grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren; her step children, Flonnie (Lonnie) Stephens and step-daughter-in-law, Celeste Carraway. She is preceded in death by a brother, Cleveland Mincey; two sisters, Edna Anderson and Esther Morgan; step-son Arthur Carraway.
