Ann Q. Dorrell Singletary, 72, went to her eternal home on Thursday, July 31, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

Graveside services will be Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at Peniel Baptist Church cemetery.  The family will have a time for visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. til 7:00 p.m. on Saturday evening at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.

Ann was born in Florence, SC, the daughter of the late Rembert "Jippy" Adams and Cordelia Ann Kirby Dorrell.  She was a member of Bethany Free Will Baptist Church. Ann was an active member of the Hattie Kirby Circle.  She was the owner of her own beauty shop for many years and will be truly missed.

She was married to the late Charlie Brooks Singletary, Jr.

Surviving are; her daughter, Dena Brooks S. Coker; two sons, Rembert Charlie Singletary and Alan Michael Stevens; grandchildren, Leann (Collin) Gardner, Halley (Dylan) Anderson, Kaitlyn Coker and Camden Coker; great-grandchildren, Kinsley, Kolten and Ellison.  She is preceded in death by two brothers, Rembert Harvey Dorrell, Marshall Kirby Dorrell.
