Alfred Anderson "Andy" Owens, Jr., 55 of Johnsonville, closed his eyes in the earthly journey, Saturday May 31, 2025 and began the new chapter in his new heavenly journey.

A memorial service will be Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at Effingham Church of God, Effingham, SC.  The family will have a time of visitation after the service at the church.

Andy was born in Georgetown, SC, the son of Hazel Braxton Witherspoon and the late Alfred Anderson Owens, Sr.  He was a retired truck driver.  Andy was an avid outdoorsman.  He enjoyed fishing, playing pool and Carolina Football.

Surviving is his mother of Timmonsville; son, Andrew (Marissa) Owens; daughters, Adrienne (Dalton) Hopkins, Amber (Kevin) Evans and four grandchildren, Rylee, Kimber, Pierce and Ayden.  He is preceded in death by his father and step-mother, Miriam Owens.

The family ask that those that attend the service wear Gamecock colors.
