Timmonsville, SC – Alma Jean Anderson, 89, passed away on October 15, 2021.

Funeral services will be Sunday, Oct. 17, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Sparrow Swamp Baptist Church.    Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will speak to those attending after the service.

Ms.  Anderson was born in Florence County, the daughter of the late Harold and Alma Sansbury Anderson.  She was an active member of Sparrow Swamp Baptist Church.  Alma Jean was a graduate of the Carolina College of Commerce in Florence.

Alma Jean worked with the SC State Department of Education for 42 years.

Surviving are a sister, Mildred (Willis) Hill; two nieces, Paula (Richard) Abbott, Beth (Reggie) Hubbard; nephews, Chris (Kim) Sturgeon, Kevin (Martha) Sturgeon, Kyle (Teresa) Sturgeon, Scott (Julie) Hill and a number of great nieces and nephews.    She is preceded in death by a sister, Haroldean Sturgeon.
