Alice Park Walkup, 98, passed away at Mcleod Hospice House in Florence on December 10, 2025. Funeral Service will be held Saturday December 13th, at 3pm. Visitation will be at 2pm before the service at Layton Anderson Funeral Home.

Alice was born in Lake City, SC, the daughter of the late Russell and Elizabeth Kerr Park. She graduated from Lake City High School and attended Winthrop College. In 1948 she married the late Warren Lee Walkup. They were married for 68 years prior to his death.

While Alice was a homemaker, she enjoyed working at the warehouse during the tobacco market, and later part time with Jordan Chevrolet.

For 77 years Alice was a devoted and active member of the Timmonsville Presbyterian Church. She held multiple positions and plenty of others without titles. If Alice saw something that needed to be done, she did it. In 2023, she was given an Honorary Life Membership of Presbyterian Women in the Presbyterian Church.

Alice enjoyed the Book and Garden Club and especially the Bridge Club with many life long friends. Tending to her rose garden was one of her most enjoyable hobbies.

She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Surviving are two daughters, Marsha W. Tolson (Mike) and Cathy W. Bazen (Charlie), her grandchildren, Michelle T. Bridges (Derek) and Daniel W. Bazen, her great grandchildren, Brennan C. Bridges, Gavin T. Bridges and Leah Catherine Bazen. She was preceded in death by her brother, Russel W. Park, Jr. and grandson Russell Lee Bazen.
