Alice G. Thomas a cherished wife, mother and Nanny, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday January 7, 2025.

A  Memorial  Service will be held at Cedar Creek Baptist Church on Sunday, January 12 at 3:00pm. The family will receive friends following the service. Cedar Creek Baptist Church, 1635 Cedar Creek Road, Hartsville, SC 29550

Her life was a testament of faith and love to her family. Alice was born to James Henry Graves Sr. and Annette Holliday Graves on August 31, 1940 in Greenville, SC. She was a proud graduate of Columbia Bible College in Columbia, SC and The University of South Carolina with her Masters in Education. She brightened the minds of her students for 41 years, teaching mathematics.  Alice was a strong servant of Jesus Christ, a devoted wife to her husband, Bob and loving mother to their children Lois Ann, Kate and Lee. Alice was adoringly known as "Nanny" to her grandchildren Logan, London, Alana and Ashton. She was a master in the kitchen and with a sewing machine. A true teacher at heart ready to share her love for Jesus in Sunday School, her knowledge in the classroom, her favorite recipes in the kitchen, or her creativity with a sewing machine, she was always going to set you up for success.

She is survived by her daughter Lois Ann Tolson, her son Robert "Lee" Thomas Jr.; her siblings James H. Graves Jr. (Sylvia), Lois Mundy Graves, sister-in-law JoBeth Graves; her grandchildren Logan Miccichi, London Miccichi (Mason), Alana Tolson Hampton (Cody), Ashton Tolson; great granddaughter Kaylyn Miccichi; and loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Alice was proceeded in death by her husband, Rev. Robert L. Thomas Sr., her daughter, Lina "Kate" Miccichi, her parents, James Henry Graves Sr. and Annette Holliday Graves, her son-in-law, William "Mike" Tolson, her brother, Frank C. Graves, her brother-in-law, Reed Thomas and sister-in-law, Sally Thomas.
