Florence, SC – Alexander Hinshelwood, 90, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at the McLeod Hospice House.

A funeral service will be Monday, March 19, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Mausoleum at Florence Memorial Gardens. The family will have a time of visitation before the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the Mausoleum Chapel.

Mr. Hinshelwood was born in Chicago, Illinois, the son of the late Peter and Sarah Hinshelwood. Before retiring, he was an Electrician with Santa Fe Railroad. Alex attended the Church at Sandhurst in Florence.

Surviving are; his wife of seventy years, Thelma Wagenaar Hinshelwood; three sons, John (Linda) Hinshelwood, Robert (Vickye) Hinshelwood, David ( Carmen) Hinshelwood, five (5) grandchildren and nine (9) great-grandchildren.
