Florence, SC – Ada Ruth Broach Thompson, 90, passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018 in a local hospital.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Florence National Cemetery. The family will have a time of visitation from 11:00 to 12:00 before the service at the Funeral Home.

Mrs. Thompson was born in Florence, the daughter of the late Carl Eugene and Valeen Jordan Broach. She was a member of Timmonsville First Baptist Church. She was active in the choir and other organizations of the church.

She was married to the late Richard Marion Thompson.

Surviving are two sons, Terry (Lynn) Thompson, Michael (Nancy) Thompson; two daughters, Martha (Steve) McLean, Tammy (Danny) Patrick; a brother, Daniel (Hilda) Broach; two sisters, Florrie Andrews, Derrell Odom, six grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.
